- Managing fever in patients with low white blood cell counts (neutropenia) suspected to be due to a bacterial infection
Severe or Mixed Infections
- For severe infections or those caused by multiple types of bacteria, additional antibiotic treatment may be given alongside Ciprofloxacin tablets.
Uses in Children and Adolescents
Under specialist medical supervision, Ciprofloxacin tablets are used to treat the following bacterial infections in children and adolescents:
- Lung and bronchial infections in children with cystic fibrosis
- Complicated urinary tract infections, including kidney infections (pyelonephritis)
- Anthrax inhalation exposure
Other Severe Infections
- Ciprofloxacin may also be used to treat other specific severe infections in children and adolescents when deemed necessary by a doctor.
